The project activities focus on the development of an online learning platform and toolkit designed to facilitate knowledge transfer from Germany to North Macedonia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Serbia, with the potential for wider EU-scale application. Through the exchange of good practices, the project identifies opportunities in participating countries and adapts sustainable solutions for the renovation and management of the VBE.

A set of five training courses and educational materials will be developed on key topics such as repair and refurbishment of valuable built environments, renewable energy sources, circular economy, risk assessment, energy efficiency and climate change. Each partner contributes to the development of one course, ensuring a strong knowledge transfer component supported by real case studies, best available techniques, and practical models of sustainable repaired buildings. The aim is to support climate change mitigation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through improved building practices.

The online learning platform will integrate all developed courses and provide a comprehensive digital toolkit. It will include a model for selecting suitable sites within the built environment, a case study toolkit, and a range of multimedia resources such as videos, articles, and practical examples. The platform will also feature interactive learning tools, including quizzes, assignments, and discussion forums, as well as dedicated spaces for participants to share ideas and experiences. Continuous improvement will be ensured through participant feedback and expert input, alongside webinars and live online sessions.

In total, 25 online expert sessions will be delivered, with five sessions per course over a five-month period. Experts and trainers from all participating countries will jointly facilitate these sessions, combining online webinars and live interactions to strengthen engagement and knowledge exchange among participants.
