In this context, the Eu-Repair project aims to include approaches that integrate:
- Heritage preservation – safeguarding authenticity.

- Climate resilience – enhancing the ability of historic structures to withstand future climatic stresses.
These strategies highlight how historic buildings can be sustainably adapted to the challenges posed by a changing climate.
One such example in Lithuania is the reconstructed Kurnėnai Lauryno Radziukyno School. The school was closed in 2008 and stood abandoned for almost a decade until it was comprehensively renovated in 2020, preserving all the valuable features. The school underwent a major renovation , both exterior and interior, featuring a new roof, and updated heating (biofuel is used) and ventilation systems. All work was carried out while maintaining the authenticity of the interior and preserving authentic details.
