Fraunhofer IBP, the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, is an applied research organization specializing in building physics, building materials, indoor environmental quality, acoustics, and life cycle engineering. In the context of repair and refurbishment, IBP contributes technical expertise on how to improve the environmental and functional performance of existing buildings while respecting cultural heritage values. This positions IBP well for climate-oriented refurbishment approaches that combine innovation, conservation, and practical implementation.
