The First International Project Meeting from the EUKI project “Toolkit for sustainable optimisation of valuable built environment EU-REPAIR” was held in Skopje, N. Macedonia from 7th to 11th April 2025.
The meeting was held in present and online, with 10 participants from all project organisations that took an active part.
The meeting was a collaborative and interactive gathering that brought together all participants to discuss several important issues. Among the primary topics were the initial implementation of planned activities, the role of research, reliable data and best practicess, the importance of ongoing evaluation, and effective dissemination strategies to ensure transparency.
The host organisation was the Institute for Research in Environment, Civil Engineering and Energy – IECE from Skopje, N. Macedonia, while other partner organisations present on the meeting were: Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (IBP) – Germany, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) – Lithuania, Innovation Center University of Niš (ICUN) – Serbia and Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) – Estonia.
The project, set to run for 28 months (01.02.2025 – 30.05.2027), aims to drive sustainable building refurbishment in Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, North Macedonia, and Serbia, reducing carbon emissions and strengthening climate resilience.
With its holistic approach to sustainable refurbishment, EU-REPAIR is set to make a lasting impact on Europe’s built environment, fostering a climate-resilient and energy-efficient future.
